This first car was commissioned as a wedding present for two Nascar fans. It turned out to be one of the most difficult projects to date. It actually required relatively few caps, but took hours to add as few as 15. The strategy was to add a couple caps at a time and shape them based on the model we were using. When the car was done, we added an internal frame and attached the wheel axles to it. The wheels are free spinning. There are about 75 caps and they represent the favorite beers of the recipients.
This car is a 1957 Chevy Bel Aire. We made it the same way as the race car: a little smaller, but no easier. The caps and type of the car were requested by the person who commissioned it.
